My family was looking for a venue to hold a celebration of life for our Mum. Sam and John were great, they understood how our Mum loved 'pretty' food, and Jim the chef created an amazing spread with exactly what we asked for, even decorating the cakes with edible flowers! She would have loved it; so Mum. We were allowed access the evening before our lunch to set up with some personal touches and on the day Jacob tentatively looked after us with support from the rest of the White Heat team. Food was replenished and kept fresh. Everything was just perfect. I'd definitely recommend holding an event here, whatever your event is. Thank you for doing us and our Mum proud.

A seemingly freshly decorated room. Keeping some olde worlde charm. Had some problems with the Internet connection speed - used to fibre and 5G, spoilt - but improved a little after a restart ( thank you ). Even though over the towns (good) pub quiet and peaceful. Many thanks, it was a good base to visit the surrounding area.

A lovey pub that we stopped at for dinner when walking the Thames path. We had the tagline and a pizza and both were delicious. The interior was very nicely decorated and the staff were attentive but not pestering. Slightly on the expensive side but large portions and a good atmosphere.
